About Me

Who am i?

Growing up in Iran, Lily always dreamed of being a singer, but the Iranian government forbade women to perform as a solo artist in public. And, her parents couldn't encourage her dream of singing professionally as they knew of the dangers, which included being arrested, jailed, and sometimes worse. But her older brother paid for her to take singing lessons unbeknownst to her family and friends. She performed privately for friends and family but knew she would need to leave the country to fulfill her dream.

She left Iran in 2011 and traveled to Turkey where she spent 4 years waiting for a Visa to the United States. Spending 4 years in Turkey Time away from her family and friends was a lonely experience, but she pushed forward, hoping for a chance to travel to the west.

She was eventually granted a Visa and green card in 2015, allowing her to travel to Los Angeles.

After arriving in Los Angeles she continued studying with vocal coaches, all the while partaking in theater productions and musical performances with various bands and musicians. During this time she began writing songs that she wanted to release on an album.

She worked closely with music and video producers in Iran to record her album over the phone, Zoom, FaceTime, and through many file transfers (which was also dangerous for the producers and musicians in Iran.) The internet was sketchy at best, but they managed to produce a 7-song album titled, Signature.
